Communications

The goal of our diocesan communications is to share the mission of our diocese with our members and the community at large.
Janis Greenbaum is our diocesan communications director. She works directly with the bishop, the bishop's staff, parishes, and the people of the diocese to create conversations that inspire, inform, support and challenge people to be faithful witnesses of our life in Christ.
Your participation in this ongoing conversation is vital, and your ideas and suggestions are always welcome.

Website
This website is central to the communications strategy of the diocese. It is the hub of information for those seeking a church home in the diocese. It is also a resource for all our faith communities and their members.
We are constantly updating the site. If you have information you would like included on this website, if you see a mistake, or if can't find what you're looking for, please contact communications director Janis Greenbaum.
You can have the latest news from the bishop's office and the Diocese of Missouri delivered to your inbox each Wednesday by subscribing to "Proclaim."
We publish our "Proclaim" newsletter on the last Wednesday of each month with feature stories and event listings. We also send an abbreviated version on the remaining Wednesdays of the month with important updates and reminders for that week.
All parishes, organizations, and individuals are welcome to submit items to be included. Send your information to communications director Janis Greenbaum. Please include your name and contact information so we can follow-up with you. Our deadline is the 15th of each month (to be included in the following month's newsletter).

Photography & Videography
The Bishop's office is here to help you create special event, informational or educational materials for your parish, organization or ministry. We will work with you to create flyers, brochures, videos... whatever you need.
Contact communications director Janis Greenbaum to discuss your project needs.
Special Publications & Media
Our diocese is vast and it is important that we present a consistent, professional, and united image, both visually and in writing.
We created a style manual to provide guidance in addition to inspiration. It creates an identity – who we are and how we express ourselves. These guidelines are a reflection of our strong history, personality, and passion which can be brought to life in our communications.
Our parishes, organizations and ministries are welcome to use these new branding materials.
Members of the media and outside organizations should contact communications director Janis Greenbaum for permission to use our branding.

We created this tri-fold brochure for parishes to distribute at ministry or community fairs, or any other appropriate events. It provides very basic information about The Diocese of Missouri and The Episcopal Church.
Download and print the brochure.

"No Weapons" Sign
In an effort to keep our church facilities a safe place for all, The Diocese of Missouri encourages all parishes to NOT allow guns or any kind of weapons on their grounds or inside their facilities.
We have created a simple sign you can download and post at your church. The sign is designed to be printed on 11x17 paper.
Download a .pdf copy of this sign.
Communications Toolbox
Every parish and every ministry needs to communicate within your own organization and to the outside community. We have put together various "tools" you may want to use to carry out your mission, along with advice on using those tools.
