Women's Lenten Retreat

Mystical Wisdom for Our Times, with Kathleen Davies

Zoom

Register

The past year has presented us with unprecedented challenges individually and communally. What wisdom might the Mystics offer us as we emerge from these days? Do we simply put this behind us and carry on as usual or is there a deeper invitation to attend to? This morning, we’ll delve into the teachings of Mystics like John of the Cross, Julian of Norwich and others, to see how their wisdom can lead us to transformation.

Our Retreat leader, Kathleen Geraty Davis, is a spiritual director and retreat leader. She is an adjunct instructor and the Director of the Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction Program at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri. Kathleen’s retreats and lectures encompass a wide range of spiritual topics, her favorites include the wisdom of the mystics, feminine spirituality and universal wholeness. She cherishes the work of helping others discover their innate goodness and eternal connection to the Source of all life and love.

Thanks to the Jan Torrisi Mokwa Fund and the generosity of John and Joan Tyler, the retreat is free of charge for all. Invite your friends and relatives near and far. We hope you can join us!

Please contact Laurie Brown with questions.

Welcome from Our Bishop Find a Church Diocesan Calendar Clergy Resources

We believe in a loving, life-giving and liberating God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe God loves you -- no exceptions!

We invite you to be a part of our faith journey.

The Rt. Rev. Deon K. Johnson is the leader of our diocese. He was elected as our bishop on Nov. 23, 2019, and ordained on June 13, 2020, at Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis.

Learn More

Approximately 10,000 people throughout Eastern and Central Missouri find their faith home with us. About three-quarters of our members are in the metro St. Louis area, but our diocese reaches much farther than St. Louis. You will find more than 40 Episcopal churches, missions and faith communities as far north as Kirksville, as far west as Columbia, and as far south as Poplar Bluff (and many points in between).

If you are looking for a church home or a just a faith community to visit, we invite you to explore The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
