Scholarships Available for Holy Order Candidates

Candidates for Holy Orders are encouraged to apply for a scholarship from the J. Francis Sant Memorial, issued by the Church of St. Michael & St. George in Clayton. The scholarship is available to all Christians, both in and out of the state of Missouri.

Please email Marlene Kleffner to obtain the scholarship application form. Completed forms are due no later than May l, 2023. Letters of Recommendation are due no later than June 1, 2023. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the seminary or divinity school.

The J. Francis Sant Memorial Scholarship was established in 1965 to provide scholarships for anyone seeking holy orders. The Church Service League was delegated by the Vestry as the group responsible for the scholarship fund and for selecting the candidates. Money awarded is based on a percentage of the fund at the end of the previous year and the Sant board decides the amount given to a candidate.
