Parish Partners Wanted for Clay Cafe
Is your parish looking for a hands-on meaningful opportunity to serve people in need? St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Ferguson would like to welcome you as a Parish Partner for our Clay Café Dinner at St. Stephen’s in 2023.
The Clay Café Dinner, originally called the Peace Meal, is a free community meal served at St. Stephen’s in Ferguson on the third Sunday of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The Clay Café Dinner seeks to both nourish people physically, and build community as people gather together to share a meal and conversation.
As a Parish Partner your parish would host the meal for the month(s) you choose based on availability. You will plan your meal in consultation with our Parish Administrator, purchase the food, prepare and serve the meal, eat and visit with community members, and clean up following the meal.
St. Stephen’s will provide the fully equipped kitchen, as well as plates/bowls, utensils, napkins, and cups. At least one member of St. Stephen’s will be present to assist you.
We are glad to be able to offer this truly rewarding experience to your parish, but also genuinely need your help to be able to continue this important outreach ministry to people in need in our community. If you are interested in becoming one of our Parish Partners please call or email our Parish Administrator, Carol Fette at 314.521.0138 or [email protected].
Together we can make a difference to people in need.
