Mission: JOY, Finding Happiness in Troubled Times
Sunday, December 12, 2021, 12:00 PM
The Episcopal Church of St. Michael & St. George in Clayton invites all to a special showing of a joyous documentary that spotlights the friendship between the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Mission: JOY features two of the world’s most revered spiritual leaders sharing spiritual wisdom and cutting edge neuroscience that show us exactly how we can each access more joy, no matter our circumstances. And just in time, during these dark and divided days.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu share their wisdom (and humor) through a laugh-out-loud funny documentary film called Mission: JOY, Finding Happiness in Troubled Times, that is inspired by their international bestseller, The Book of Joy. The film production team includes multiple Academy Award winners and Emmy winners, and is predicted, like the book, to be "the antidote to the times" (Boston Globe). It premiered at Tribeca, and has been featured in 34 film festivals and counting.
St. Michael & St. George is offering two opportunities to watch this new documentary:
- Thursday, Dec. 9, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Popcorn and beverages provided. - Sunday, Dec. 12, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
