March 17: Friday in the Third Week of Lent
Read
Hosea 14:1–9 | I am like an evergreen cypress; your faithfulness comes from me. Those who are wise understand these things; those who are discerning know them.
Pray
Holy of Holies,
help us walk together.
Walk free. Walk joy.
Walk hope. Walk holy.
Walk proud. Walk love.
Walk together in grace.
Walk happy. Walk calm.
Walk light. Walk laughter.
Walk together in gratitude.
Walk justice. Walk jubilant.
Walk faith. Walk fellowship.
Walk peace. Walk possibility.
Walk compassion. Walk curiosity.
Walk together in Jesus. Amen.
Reflect
Where do you find it hard to be obedient?
Obedience finds is origin in Latin oboedire, and translates as, “in the direction of hearing.” It means that obedience is about discerning, perceiving, and distinguishing which direction to attune our ears. God invites us to be obedient to God’s voice. The challenge for us is to determine where God’s voice summons and orienting our lives in that direction.
Do
Read the 6th Chapter of the Book of the Prophet Micah (no worries, it’s short).
