GACC Receives $30,000 Grant
June 28, 2023
Grace African Christians Connection, a church plant in the Diocese of Missouri, has been awarded a $30,000 Growth Grant from the Executive Council of The Episcopal Church.
GACC was launched less than a year ago by the Rev. Mtipe Koggani. The congregation has been hosting monthly worship services at Christ Church Cathedral, online prayer services, and other events throughout the St. Louis community.
"We are excited to partner with you as you work in your local context to gather a loving, curious, grounded and resilient community of faith," wrote the Rev. Katie Nakamura Rengers, Staff Officer for Church Planting in The Episcopal Church.
This grant follows a $30,000 Seed Grant GACC received in 2021 and makes them eligible to apply for the Harvest Grant Application next year ($40,000).
Congratulations to Mtipe and everyone at Grace African Christians Connection! We offer our prayers for continued success for this new worshiping community in the Diocese of Missouri.
