GACC Celebrates Love Day

Sunday, March 19, 2023, 3:00 PM

by the Rev. Mtipe Koggani,
Grace African Christians Connection

We at Grace African Christians Connection (GACC) thank you so much for your continued support to this newly planted missional community in our diocese. GACC, in collaboration with Christ Church Cathedral and friends, will be celebrating, "LOVE DAY" on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Christ Church Cathedral, 3 –5 p.m. Dr. Matifadza Hlatshwayo-Davis, Director of Health for the City of St. Louis, will be a keynote speaker.

This will be our first Love Day celebration, which will be done annually to remind ourselves of love as Christ commanded us (John 13:34). We do believe things like hatred, crimes, and discrimination in our society exists partly because we forget that God is love and we are called to love one another, regardless of the differences we might have. Each year's celebration will aim on doing one community service. This year, we focus on raising funds to support African international students in St. Louis area who are connected with GACC and have been struggling with tuition fees.

We would love to invite you to attend this event to sing and talk love with us. We also would like to invite you to join us in raising funds to support our friends with tuition fees. There are several ways you can donate:

1. Check:
Please make checks payable to The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri, 1210 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO 63103. Please add "GACC International Students" on the memo line.

Approximately 10,000 people throughout Eastern and Central Missouri find their faith home with us. About three-quarters of our members are in the metro St. Louis area, but our diocese reaches much farther than St. Louis. You will find more than 40 Episcopal churches, missions and faith communities as far north as Kirksville, as far west as Columbia, and as far south as Poplar Bluff (and many points in between).

If you are looking for a church home or a just a faith community to visit, we invite you to explore The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
