ECM Holiday Giving 2022
A letter from Episcopal City Mission:
As most of you know, every year during the holidays Episcopal City Mission provides gifts to the children in the juvenile detention centers in St. Louis City and County. Our goal is for every child to have at least one gift to unwrap at Christmas.
We rely on congregations in the metro area to collect gift cards and items in support of this program, and to coordinate with ECM to get the items to us in time to be sorted, wrapped and distributed to the kids at Christmas.
We are asking your help with our 2022 Holiday Gifts program in the following ways:
- Taking our request to the appropriate person at your church to see if we can count on your congregation to participate this year
(Also, it will help us in our planning if you can confirm whether or not your congregation will participate this year.) - Helping with communications to get the word out at your church (newsletters, announcements, bulletin boards, fliers, website, etc.)
- Helping your church’s staff (as needed) facilitate a way for members at your church to bring donations
- Coordinating with ECM to get the donations to us. This year our deadline is Thursday, Dec. 15.
(Our Holiday Wrapping party will be the following Monday, at Emmanuel, from 11:00am – 1:30pm; lunch will be served. I’ll email more info for that event in a few weeks.)

Thanks in advance for supporting our mission to bring Hope & Healing to children in the juvenile justice system throughout the year, and especially during Christmas.
We are truly grateful for you and for all you do to keep your congregations and ECM connected and collaborating on behalf of the children we serve.
