The Rev. Mike Angell

Rector of Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion in University City

The Rev. Mike Angell serves with the people of The Church of the Holy Communion. Prior to his work at Holy Communion Mike served as the church-wide Missioner for Young Adult and Campus Ministry on the staff of the Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church. He has also served as Assistant Rector at St. John's Church, Lafayette Square in Washington, DC.

Before ordination Mike re-started campus ministry for The Episcopal Church at the University of California San Diego, and served for a year in the Young Adult Service Corps at El Hogar de Amor y Esperanza, an orphanage in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Mike is a graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and the University of San Diego. He grew up with a brother and sister in Colorado where his mother also serves as a priest. His father is an attorney. Mike lives with his husband Ellis and their labradoodle Oscar in St. Louis. He reads, writes, travels, plays ultimate frisbee, and goofs around with various acoustic instruments.
