Delegates at the 183rd Convention of The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri elected members to Cathedral Chapter, Diocesan Council, Disciplinary Board, General Convention Deputation, and Standing Committee. The Rt. Rev. Deon Johnson, Bishop of The Diocese of Missouri, awarded Bishop's Medals on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, during the annual diocesan convention. Here are the recipients. Bishop Deon Johnson focuses on the importance of building disciples in his 2022 Convention Address. This year’s Moment in Time was a success in every way, thanks to the generosity of our supporters and everyone who attended. Our guests enjoyed a lovely evening, and we were able to raise over $74,000 (gross) to fund our mission of bringing hope and healing to the children in St. Louis’ juvenile justice system. Members of Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau have a strong sense of loyalty to the history of their parish as well as a strong commitment to service in their community. Cohort #2 of our Requiem or Renaissance program will meet Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. Please register your team no later than Nov. 28. Trinity Episcopal Church launches a new campus ministry at Lindenwood University with a special event for international students. Episcopal churches in the St. Louis area have raised more than $25,000 that will erase more than $5.5 million worth of medical debt for low-income people throughout our city, county, and state. The Diocese is partnering with a solar energy company out of California to consider the benefits of renewable energy in our parishes. We're looking for a people who are interested in learning if solar is a viable option for their church.
