ECW Retreat and Annual Meeting

9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Strong Women: Ancient and Modern
Join the Diocesan ECW Board virtually via Zoom for our Retreat and Annual Meeting, featuring guest speaker, the Rev. Beth Scriven.
Strong women: Ancient & Modern will invite participants into the stories of women you've probably heard of, like Mary Magdalene and Eleanor Roosevelt, as well as some you might not know as well, such as Thecla and Pauli Murray. We'll explore how their stories weave together with our own, and what it means for us to claime the mantle of strong women following Jesus in our own time. There will be time to hear from our keynote speaker, share in smaller groups, reflect individually away from our screens, and pray as a group.
or contact Deborah Caby at 314-606-7566 or email@example.com.
After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email with the meeting link.
The Rev. Beth Scriven is chaplain at Rockwell House, the Episcopal Campus Ministry for Washington University and St. Louis University. All her life, she has been shaped by strong women's leadership and mentoring, from Girl Scouting to Smith College to Young Clergy Women International and beyond. In 2018, she served as a member of the House of Deputies Special Committee on Sexual Harassment and Exploitation, and she currently chairs the committee to provide General Convention with model anti-harassment policies, practices and training. Beth loves to relax and refresh by cooking and laughing with friends and family, reading N.K. Jemisin and Madeleine L'Engle, or watching old episodes of The West Wing and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
