Christ Church Cathedral invites all to participate in a variety of special events and worship service to mark the season of Advent and celebrate the season of Christmas.

From quiet reflections to photos with Santa to sharing a meal with our unhoused neighbors, all are invited to be a part of our Cathedral's events in downtown St. Louis this season.

Reflect on the Spirit of Advent with the Dean

Cathedral Dean Kathie Adams-Shepherd invites you to read and pray along with her as she reflects on Paula Gooder's book, "The Meaning is in the Waiting," Paraclete Press, 2009. This book is a volume of reflections, not a how-to manual. "This book aims to persuade you of the virtue of waiting but also to give you food for thought that might contribute to your life of reflection and prayer so that, in the presence of God, you might grow more fully into a way of being that is governed more by waiting than by urgency... changing the focus of our lives from ourselves to God...." page xiv.
