Invitations to Youth in the Diocese of Missouri

Screen on the Green

All diocesan youth in grades 6-12 are invited to an evening of fun and fellowship while watching a movie under the stars.

  • Saturday, Sept. 9, 7-10:30 pm
  • at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1166 S. Mason Rd in Town and Country

Snacks and drinks provided, bring a blanket or a lawn chair. We will vote on the movie together. Parents: the movie will be PG-13.


DYAC, the Advisory Council of Diocesan Youth

Applications are are now being accepted for the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council.

The Council consists of youth in grades 7-12 who advise the Diocese of Missouri about youth issues in the diocese and the wider Episcopal Church, and are involved with planning upcoming youth events. Members attend three meetings a year (the first of which will be Sept. 24, 2017), attend diocesan youth events, and help make a presentation to diocesan convention, this year on Nov. 17-18 in Hannibal.

Youth Presence at General Convention

The General Convention Youth Presence 2018 is an incredible opportunity for those who will be age 16-19 during the 79th General Convention of the Episcopal Church, July 5-13, 2018, in Austin, TX. The selection process is extremely competitive, and only 18 young people, two from each province, will be invited. Each applicant must complete an online application and submit a nomination from a non-family member by Nov. 1.
