The main role of Youth Ministry on the diocesan level is to support parishes in their individual ongoing Youth Ministry programs. We aim to help create a network of youth and youth workers and a feeling of community within the diocese. Throughout the year, the diocese hosts and promotes events for youth with the goal of strengthening the relationships of youth across the diocese.
We are aided in this work by the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council (DYAC), a group of youth from across the Diocese who assist with planning and publicizing diocesan youth events, and work with the Youth Missioner to create a vision for diocesan youth ministry.
