Get to Know the Diocese of Missouri

The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri is made up of 41 parishes in urban, suburban, small town, and rural areas. Although we are all Episcopalians, each parish has its own personality and offers a unique worship and membership experience.
We're on a mission to help you get to know every parish in this diocese! As Bishop Deon Johnson travels the region on his official visits, we'll follow up by featuring each parish in our diocesan communications. Get to Know: Calvary Episcopal Church, Louisiana
The picturesque town of Louisiana, Missouri sits directly on the banks of the Mississippi River, about 30 miles south of Hannibal. Calvary Episcopal Church was founded in this historic town in 1854 by Dr. John T. Worthington, a missioner who founded several Episcopal parishes in the region.
