General Convention

The General Convention is the governing body of The Episcopal Church. Every three years it meets as a bicameral legislature that includes the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops, composed of deputies and bishops from each diocese. The General Convention also includes interim bodies which meet between the triennial sessions to accomplish ongoing work and tasks set in the triennial sessions.
The 81st General Convention will take place June 23 - 28, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky. The Diocese of Missouri elected the following members to serve as deputies for this convention:
Lay Deputies:
- Betty Bowersox (co-chair) - Grace Episcopal Church, Kirkwood
- Doris Lucy-Goodlow - Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis
- Dr. Michael Booker - St. Francis Episcopal Church, Eureka
- Elizabeth (Liz) Yount - St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Ladue
- Adrienne Dillon (alternate 1) - The Episcopal Church of All Saints and Ascension, Northwoods
- Patricia (Pat) Marsh O'Brien - Grace Episcopal Church, Kirkwood
Clergy Deputies:
- The Very Rev. Kathie Adams Shepherd (co-chair) - Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis
- The Very Rev. Shug Goodlow - Christ Episcopal Church, Rolla
- The Rev. Tamsen Whistler - Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Charles
