Clergy Communications

Clergy Connections

Clergy Connections is a weekly newsletter produced and distributed by the Offices of the Bishop. This email goes to all clergy canonically resident in the diocese and contains news and information directly from the bishop. The publication also serves as a way to recognize clergy ordination anniversaries, mark bishop visitations, and to share prayer requests within the clergy community. We recommend all clergy make a point to read this newsletter each week to stay up to date.

If you are not receiving this newsletter and would like to be on the list, please contact Communications Director Janis Greenbaum.

Clergy Google Group

All clergy in the Diocese of Missouri are invited and welcome to join the clergy Google Group. This Google Group is a means of communication used solely by and for clergy. The clergy use this Google Group to share ideas, identify resources, ask each other questions, inform one another of social justice and other community events, and ask for and receive prayers.

The Google Group is not administered by the Offices of the Bishop, but by the clergy themselves. The current administrator of the Google Group is the Rev. Sally Weaver.

Any clergyperson may belong to the Google Group, although some choose not to. A clergyperson who wants to join -- someone who is new to the Diocese or not yet a member of the Google Group -- should send an email to Sally at [email protected]; she will add that person to the Google Group.

Public Diocesan Communications

All clergy and lay leaders are encouraged to submit news and information about their faith communities to Communications Director Janis Greenbaum for publication in our digital and print media. We also encourage you to keep up with what's happening in the diocese by subscribing to our regular diocesan communications and following us on social media.

Approximately 10,000 people throughout Eastern and Central Missouri find their faith home with us. About three-quarters of our members are in the metro St. Louis area, but our diocese reaches much farther than St. Louis. You will find more than 40 Episcopal churches, missions and faith communities as far north as Kirksville, as far west as Columbia, and as far south as Poplar Bluff (and many points in between).

If you are looking for a church home or a just a faith community to visit, we invite you to explore The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
