UTO's Intentional Gratitude Month
Make November an intentional gratitude month for you, your family, Sunday School class, or small group.
UTO places a huge emphasis on intentionally practicing gratitude throughout the entire month of November, not just on Thanksgiving Day. We have created a variety of resources to help people of all ages explore their personal practice of gratitude. It is also crucial to understand the historical context and truth of Thanksgiving, so we have multiple resources from Indigenous Communities linked below.
United Thank Offering offers free online resources to help individuals, families, and groups focus on gratitude throughout November. Materials include:
- Liturgy booklet
- November Gratitude Challenge – daily prompts
- Faith formation lessons and crafts to teach elementary-age children about gratitude
- Thanksgiving lesson plan created by Native American Student Services at Oklahoma City Schools
- “Harvest Ceremony: Beyond the Thanksgiving Myth” – study guide created by the National Museum of the American Indian
- Book recommendations, and more
