Summer Preaching Colloquium: Emery Washington Convocation

by the Very Rev. Jon Stratton,
Dean of the Emery Washington Convocation
Part of the mission of the Emery Washington Convocation is to provide professional development opportunities for clergy in the convocation.
To that end, you are invited to participate in a virtual preaching colloquium with your convocation clergy colleagues. Here's how it works:
Over the summer, participating clerics will submit recorded sermons to the colloquium group. These sermons will be watched, reviewed, and reflected upon by clergy participating in the colloquium. Toward the end of the summer (exact date TBD), the colloquium will meet via zoom to share constructive feedback on preaching form, style, content, exegesis, etc. There are also plans to invite a guest presenter to share their preaching expertise.
The purpose of this colloquium is to encourage collegiality amongst EW Convocation clergy and help sharpen our collective preaching skills.
Those who register will receive additional information and resources in late June/early July that will guide them through the sermon submission and review process.
Please register no later than June 24.
