St. Paul's Blessing Box

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Ironton has installed a blessing box for use in the community. The blessing box has been a desire of the congregation for a long time and has taken more than a year of steady work to come to fruition.

As far as we know, there are no other blessing boxes in Iron County. St. Paul’s hopes this box inspires the community to add many more in the area.

The philosophy behind the box is “Take what you need, and leave what you can.” One side of the blessing box will house non-perishable foods and hygienic items for those in need. The other side of the box will be St. Paul’s lending library.

Bill Bratburg donated the completed box to the congregation, making our dreams possible. Members have been working together building the base, painting, and landscaping around the box.

Feedback from the community has been inspiring and far better than we dared to hope. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church continues to work toward more projects to serve those in need in the Iron County community and beyond.
