Requiem Service for International Overdose Awareness Day

by the Rev. Deacon Barbi Click,
Missioner for Jubilee Ministries
International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died from overdose, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.
Trinity Food Ministry and Trinity Episcopal Church in St Louis will hold a requiem service to commemorate those whose lives have been lost to overdose. Names of loved ones who have died from overdose will be read aloud during the service. All are invited to the service. If you would like your loved one named, please send that name to Deacon Barbi Click at [email protected].
Because it is a proven fact that harm reduction decreases the risk of death from overdose, immediately following the service, there will be a blessing and dedication of the Narcan box where Naloxone/Narcan will be available 24/7 to anyone who needs it.
Service begins at 2:30 p.m.
