Requiem or Renaissance Retreat: July 14-15, 2023

May 15, 2023

Registration is now open for the Requiem or Renaissance summer retreat, taking place July 14-15 at Mercy Conference and Retreat Center in St. Louis.

Teams from 11 congregations throughout the Diocese have been engaged in this intentional discernment program for one year. This retreat is a turning point in the program, moving us from thinking about the future to actually making a plan for the future. The highlight of the retreat will be one-on-one time with Bishop Deon Johnson for each team.

This event is mandatory for all team members and shepherds. Additional members from the participating congregations are also welcome to attend.

The event is free and includes three meals plus overnight accommodations at Mercy Retreat Center. Depending on the number staying at the center, you may be asked to share a room with another member from the Diocese. If you live in the St. Louis area, you may choose to commute if you prefer.

Everyone attending must register themselves for this retreat (unlike our past programs, where we registered as teams). Please complete the form below - don't forget to hit the "submit" button! The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 14.

We'll be sending more details as we get closer to the event date. If you have any questions, please contact the Rev. Dave Malek: [email protected].

Approximately 10,000 people throughout Eastern and Central Missouri find their faith home with us. About three-quarters of our members are in the metro St. Louis area, but our diocese reaches much farther than St. Louis. You will find more than 40 Episcopal churches, missions and faith communities as far north as Kirksville, as far west as Columbia, and as far south as Poplar Bluff (and many points in between).

If you are looking for a church home or a just a faith community to visit, we invite you to explore The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
