Recognition of Episcopal School for Ministry
"Dear Friends in Christ, Holy Scripture reminds us that, 'for everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.' For a time, The Episcopal School for Ministry empowered and equipped lay and ordained leaders of this Diocese for the building up of the reign of God and for the advancement of the Good News of Jesus Christ. For a season, the Holy Spirit inspired those who sought knowledge and invigorated those who imparted wisdom. We come now to give thanks to Almighty God for the many women and men who have discovered the joy and wonder of teaching and learning." (Bishop Deon Johnson, Nov. 18, 2021)
The Rt. Rev. Deon Johnson honored the founders, faculty, staff, and students of The Episcopal School for Ministry during the worship service at the 182nd Convention of The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri. Angela Ferree, Loretta Go, and David Luckes were presented certificates for completing the ESM formational program this year.
The Episcopal School for Ministry has offered diaconal formation for those considering ordination, as well as theological formation for those wishing to engage in the ministry of the Body of Christ in the world. The recognition on November 18, 2021 celebrated a sacred ending to this program.
