by Br. Franklin Kline, O.P.
Members of religious orders and communities from throughout the Diocese will join together for the first gathering of 2022 via Zoom for evening prayer and fellowship Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Members of The Anamchara Fellowship will lead the service as practiced by their Community in the Celtic Christian Tradition. Following the service will be a virtual wine and cheese get-together.
The group meets quarterly with the worship led in rotation by members of one of the participating communities often sharing their unique liturgical traditions. Participants include members of The Society of St. Francis (SSF) 3rd Order, The Order of St. Francis (OSF), The Anglican Order of Preachers (OPA - Dominicans), Benedictines; The Brotherhood of St. Andrew, the Rivendell Community, Daughters of The King, The Worker Sisters of The Holy Spirit, and The Episcopal Service Corps (Deaconess Anne House). We are also hopeful that Religious of our Companion Diocese of Puerto Rico will be able join us in this gathering.
All in the Diocese who are members of religious orders and communities living under promises or vows and following a religious rule of life are also warmly invited to join in. Also welcome to attend are any who may be interested in learning more about the various forms of the religious life as are expressed within The Episcopal Church and broader Anglican Communion.
