The Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, University City
We're inviting all 11-14 year olds and adult leaders in the Diocese of Missouri to "Come try it on!"
Come to a Journey to Adulthood Rite 13 youth meeting at Holy Communion, Sunday, Sept. 24, 4-6 p.m.
The overall program, Journey to Adulthood, is a faith formation program that has been in practice for more than 30 years in the Episcopal Church. A simple way to describe it, is it's a combination of youth group, mission trip/outreach ministry and confirmation preparation. Confirmation is not the goal nor is it a required outcome, but certainly an option as part of participating.
Journey to Adulthood is an intentional group of young people seeking a spiritual, fun, and safe community of peers to explore their faith, their identity, and themselves in society. A particular and important piece of this program is a commitment to meet together over the course of two years with the same adult mentors. Imagine the richness and bonds with church friends of such a commitment!
SIGN UP or get more information by submitting the form on this page. This new youth program is led by a diocesan cohort, including the Rev. Julie Graham from Holy Communion in University City and the Rev. Erin Pickersgill, the Ministry Developer for Children and Youth Ministries for the Diocese.
