The Episcopal Church of St. Michael & St. George in Clayton invites all to experience a special Morning Prayer service led by the former Archbishop of Wales.
On Wednesday, April 5 at 11 a.m., Bishop Barry Morgan, retired Archbishop of Wales, will lead us in saying Morning Prayer in Welsh in St. George’s Chapel. Welsh is the language of the people of Wales: a Celtic people with a rich, vibrant Christian heritage.
Barry Cennydd Morgan, born Jan. 31, 1947, is a Welsh Anglican bishop and academic. He served as the Archbishop of Wales from 2003 until Jan. 2017. He was the Bishop of Bangor from 1992-1999, and the Bishop of Llandaff from 1999 until his retirement in Jan. 2017. He was the longest serving archbishop in the entire Anglican Communion.
