Migration Ministry Network: A View from the Border

Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 7:00 PM

The Province V Migration Ministry Network welcomes Ana Reza as a special guest at their March gathering on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. (Central Time). Ana will share the work of the Rio Grande Borderland Ministry in the Diocese of the Rio Grande.

The Borderland Ministry brings awareness of the need to welcome refugees with dignity by calling people to know and support their work in El Paso and the Big Bend area. This ministry is always looking to collaborate locally and nationally with congregations, dioceses and organizations to work to bring God’s love and dignity to our borders and beyond.

Ana L. Reza is a first generation, Mexican-American. She was born and raised in El Paso, TX. A community activist in la Frontera working with issues of fair housing, education, saving our history, militarization of our border and immigrant rights. Currently working for the Diocese of the Rio Grande as their Bridge Chaplain. Ana is the coordinator of a shelter for asylum seekers at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in El Paso, TX.

Approximately 10,000 people throughout Eastern and Central Missouri find their faith home with us. About three-quarters of our members are in the metro St. Louis area, but our diocese reaches much farther than St. Louis. You will find more than 40 Episcopal churches, missions and faith communities as far north as Kirksville, as far west as Columbia, and as far south as Poplar Bluff (and many points in between).

If you are looking for a church home or a just a faith community to visit, we invite you to explore The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
