Inviting youth to EYE23

Story Update: April 4, 2023
Registration for this event is now closed. If you have any questions about EYE23, please contact the
Rev. Erin Pickersgill.

(Feb.13, 2023)

Calling all 15-19 year-olds for a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with The Episcopal Church!

The 2023 Episcopal Youth Event is happening July 4-8 at the University of Maryland in College Park. #EYE23 is a gathering of youth ages 15-19 from around the world who assemble on a college campus to learn, laugh, and worship together. This event happens once every three years and is the second largest event hosted by The Episcopal Church.

The Rev. Erin Pickersgill, Ministry Developer for Children and Youth in the Diocese of Missouri, invites high schoolers from throughout the Diocese to apply to be a part of our delegation.

Any youth active in their church, curious about The Episcopal Church on a wider scale, and wanting to meet more than a thousand other youth from across the country and around the world - get in touch with Erin! She'll answer any questions you may have.

Learn more about #EYE23 on their website. Please note that youth members cannot directly register themselves for the event -- Erin will officially register our delegation. If you would like to nominate a youth to be part of our delegation, please fill out the form below no later than March 31.

There are limited spaces to attend. The cost for the conference is $400 for an individual, plus (an estimate of) $400 for airfare. We suggest that the applicant pays one-third, the sending parish pays one-third, and the Diocese pays one-third. Other scholarships are available - please contact Erin regarding scholarships.

Who might you nominate for this special adventure!?

Registration is now closed.

Approximately 10,000 people throughout Eastern and Central Missouri find their faith home with us. About three-quarters of our members are in the metro St. Louis area, but our diocese reaches much farther than St. Louis. You will find more than 40 Episcopal churches, missions and faith communities as far north as Kirksville, as far west as Columbia, and as far south as Poplar Bluff (and many points in between).

If you are looking for a church home or a just a faith community to visit, we invite you to explore The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
