Camper's Ask...What’s fun about church camp? CampPhoenix is more “spirit camp” than “church camp.” There are lots of great activities, plus a spiritual program designed to help you learn more about God, Jesus, and your place in the universe.
Is the food good? It’s delicious. Meals are served family-style, with a counselor at each table, and there are always choices. Snacks are served afternoon and evening.
What if it's really hot? All of the cabins are well-ventilated and equipped with fans. In the event of extreme heat, we’ll encourage you to swim, drink more water, and take things easier.
What do I bring to camp? We’ll send you a complete packing list. Please leave the electronics at home, but do bring family photos, a Bible, a camera, and a good book to read.
Will I really get to ride a horse? Absolutely! You’ll ride in the rink and on a trail (wearing a helmet, of course!) with trained staff members who are here to help.
What’s the camp covenant? It’s a pledge you sign to treat fellow campers, camp staff, and the camp with love and respect. Honoring the covenant keeps everyone at CampPhoenix safe, secure, and happy.
May I invite a friend to camp? Yes—we hope you will! Let your friends know they can participate in all of the activities, including the spiritual program.
