Visitation on Good Friday for the Mother of the Rev. Emery Washington
The mother of the Rev. Emery Washington, Sr., Fannie Norrington Washington Winston passed away at Forest Park Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the age of 90 after a long illness. Her funeral will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Antioch M.B. Church, Palestine, Arkansas at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the old Casteel Cemetery. (Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. in the church). The St. Louis visitation will be held at William C. Harris Funeral Directors & Cremation Service, 9825 Halls Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63124, 314-868-9500 on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 from Noon until 7:00 p.m. The Washington family will be there from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on March 21, 2008. Fannie Norrington was born in Palestine Arkansas, lived in Forrest City, Arkansas for most of her life, moved with her daughter-in-law Alice and only offspring, Emery for a short period while they were in Memphis and came to St. Louis to live with them for good in 1991. She has been residing at U-City Forest Manor in University City since 1994. Two and a half weeks ago, she was taken to Forest Park Hospital. She was sent back to U-City Forest Manor on Monday, March 8, 2008, returning to the hospital in less than 24 hours. On today, Thursday, March 13, she expired at 2:55 p.m. Prayers are appreciated.
