United Thank Offering Grants: application information

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

October 4, 2011

To all congregations,

The following information should be helpful if you are thinking of applying for a 2012 United Thank Offering Grant.

The grant application and instructions can be found at:  www.episcopalchurch.org/uto

The completed application should be in our diocesan office no later than Monday, December 5, 2011.  If you can get it in sooner, that would be helpful.  Our diocesan UTO Grant Screening Committee members must study each application prior to our meeting to pick one to go forward to the national level.  Since December is extra busy for many because of the holidays, it can be difficult to find a date when everyone on the committee can meet.  After a grant is selected by the committee, it then must be approved by the bishop.

All grant applications must be received in New York no later than January 15, 2012.

If you would like to look over grants that were given out in 2010 and prior years, go to the above website and select “Grants”.
