Street Fair. This year’s Flower Festival at Christ Church Cathedral features a street fair with a little something extra. The theme is Green Stewards and Innovators and visitors will find entertainment mixed with thought-provoking information. Following the 11 am service on Saturday, May 1, visitors will emerge from the cool interior of the flower filled cathedral onto 13th street to sample festival booths. The nineteenth annual Calvary Episcopal Charity Horse Show will be held at the Midway Exposition Center, Columbia. Proceeds benefit, among others, the Central Missouri Humane Society, which helps protect the animal population of mid-Missouri by offering pet adoption; assistance to stray or surrendered animals; and low-cost vaccination and spay/neuter services. HAPPENING is a weekend about discovering Christianity in a whole new way. It is designed by, led by, and offered to teenagers. The weekend is spent in a fun, informal, and safe environment where you can share your faith in a relaxed Christian atmosphere. A young person acting as “Rector” leads the weekend with the help of clergy and a staff of mostly young people, all being veteran Happeners.
• Is Christianity relevant to youth today?
• Can it permeate the many areas of school life?

Come celebrate the ministry of the Episcopal CIty Mission at the Moment-in-Time Gala, How do we mend a broken heart? in the beautiful Starlight Room of the Chase Park Plaza Hote. Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. Gerald Early, PhD, noted author, essayist, and Director of the Center for Humanities at Washington University will provide words of inspiration. There will also be great entertainment, food, select auction items…Just in Time ensemble will provide music during the cocktail reception and pianist Roy Pennington will entertain all during dinner. June 20-22
St. Mark’s Episcopal, St. Louis will have a flea market, book and estate sale June 20-22 at 4714 Clifton with antiques, housewares, books, furniture, jewelry, tools, electronics, and more.
Early birds may get a preview on Friday, June 20th, from 6-8 p.m. with the purchase of a $5 ticket. Admission to Saturday and Sunday’s sales are free. Sunday’s sale will feature clearance prices.

The Happening committee is hard at work planning for the Diocese of Missouri’s Happening #1 event on March 7-9 at St. Timothy’s. It is time for the youth of the Diocese to sign up for a fun, enlightening and possibly life-changing event.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
HAPPENING is a weekend event for high school students and those adults who work with them. The weekend is led by a staff made up of former Happeners, both youth and adults. HAPPENING provides the opportunity to learn more about your faith and relationship with God in a safe and loving environment, all while meeting new friends and having a great time. Sounds pretty good, huh?
The format of the weekend includes thought-provoking and challenging talks given by members of the staff and clergy. After each talk, the opportunity is given for questions and discussion in small groups. The sacraments of the church also play an integral part throughout the weekend. If you are a high school student (9th – 12th grade) and looking to have an incredible experience full of good music, interesting discussions and new friends, then Happening is for you!
