Episcopal City Mission receives major UTO grant for Interactive Chapel Services (2009)

Dr. Peg Cooper, Diocesan United Thank Offering (UTO) Coordinator, is delighted to bring news from the recently concluded Triennial meeting of the Episcopal Church Women in Anaheim that Episcopal City Mission has been awarded a $6500 grant for Interactive Chapel Services for Juvenile Detention Centers. ECM’s MOMENT IN TIME GALA SEPTEMBER 10th, 2008

Come celebrate the ministry of the Episcopal CIty Mission at the Moment-in-Time Gala, How do we mend a broken heart? in the beautiful Starlight Room of the Chase Park Plaza Hote. Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. Gerald Early, PhD, noted author, essayist, and Director of the Center for Humanities at Washington University will provide words of inspiration. There will also be great entertainment, food, select auction items…Just in Time ensemble will provide music during the cocktail reception and pianist Roy Pennington will entertain all during dinner. Episcopal City Mission Names New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of The Episcopal City Mission is pleased to announce that Mary K. Digby is ECM’s new Executive Director. Ms. Digby comes to ECM from the Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington University where she worked with various St. Louis not-for profit organizations on collaboration, mentoring opportunities, and successful enterprise ideas. She has extensive experience with community organizations in the St. Louis region and elsewhere and has been of service to young people throughout her career. Ms. Digby is currently a volunteer with Focus St. Louis, the United Way of St. Louis, and the National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis. She is member of St. Michael and St. George Parish and the proud mother of 3 grown children. Ms. Digby holds a B.S. Degree in Mathematics Education, an M.S. in Information Technology and Management, and is a graduate of the Coro Women in Leadership program in St. Louis. The Board of ECM is excited to work with Ms. Digby to further strengthen ECM’s chaplaincy programs which bring hope and healing to children in detention.
