Leadership Conference ‘10: Focus on Public Narrative with Devon Anderson

This year’s annual Leadership Conference for clergy and lay members of the diocese is devoted to Public Narrative; how we effectively, succinctly, and engagingly tell our story.

Keynote and lead presenter will be the Rev. Devon Anderson. In addition to her work as executive director of Episcopalians for Global Reconcilliation, Anderson was the project manager for the Episcopal Public Narrative Project. (more…)

Keynote Address
Bishop Smith will continue with the themes he shared at the Fall Clergy Conference and in his address to the 169th Convention of the Diocese of Missouri, specifically, what it means to be a missional leader.

How do you determine the specific mission of your congregation? This workshop will help you find ways for your congregation to live mission in your neighborhood or community; how to determine resources and identify needs. (more…)

The Power of One Woman, ECW Province V, Registration deadline Jan. 15 (2009)

The Power of One Woman is the title of the Province V Annual Meeting and Conference of the The Council of the Episcopal Church Women’s Organizations. Keynote speaker is Phoebe Griswold. Conference dates are April 24-26, 2009, in Indianapolis. Registration and payment due by January 15, 2009.

Radical Abundance: A Theology of Sustainability, conference webcast and workshop, by 1/6/09

Emmanuel is partnering with Trinity Episcopal Church, Wall Street, New York City, to host an exciting conference January 21-23. They are one of several partner sites that will host live webcast of the conference as it occurs in New York. There is only one other partner site in Missouri, and there are none in Illinois.

This year’s topic is Radical Abundance: A Theology of Sustainability will explore how environmental sustainability and justice for all God’s people intersect. Speakers include Majora Carter and David C. Korten.
