Community of Hope begins new 14-week Training Course

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Community of Hope (COH) is an ecumenical Christian community of lay chaplains, united in prayer, shaped by Benedictine spirituality and equipped for pastoral care ministry.

A new 14-week, 42-hour training course begins at Christ Church Cathedral in February 2008.

Chaplains are taught a ministry of presence, to bring comfort and healing to the suffering. They also embrace a rule of life including daily spiritual reading and prayer, weekly worship with their faith community, an annual retreat, and regular service as lay chaplains.

Plan to attend an information session about this opportunity at Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday, October 6, at 9:00 a.m. For reservations, contact John Pestka at john.pestka@bunzlusa.com.
