St Mark’s Dedicates Organ, New Accessible entrance, and celebrates Architecture Award (2009)

St. Mark’s Church will celebrate the completion of two huge projects this Sunday, November 22nd at 10 a.m., a new pipe organ and a new accessible entrance.

The congregation will gather in the parish hall and process to the new East Entrance, often referred to as the “Jewel Box” because of its small size and resemblance to the building in Forest Park. After prayers of thanksgiving, selected parishioners have been invited to participate in a ceremonial “first ascent” in the elevator. (more…)

Work of the Rev. Emily Bloemker receives award (2009)

The Board of Directors of the Evangelical Education Society of the Episcopal Church (EES) honored the outstanding work of of the Rev. Emily Bloemker by awarding her the Rev. Dr. E. F. Michael Morgan Director’s Award. Bloemker,  a 2009 graduate of the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, is associate rector at St. Timothy’s in Creve Coeur. (more…)

The Louisiana Missouri Chamber of Commerce bestowed upon the Rev. Pat Glenn the Citizen of the Year Award at their annual banquet and ceremony April 6, 2009.

The Louisiana Press Journal features a photograph of the presentation in their April 9th edition. (The caption reads”Julie Stephens, on the right [sic], presents the Rev. Pat Glenn with this year’s Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award.”)

Trinity, St. James Wins Best Float in Fall Festival Parade

Trinity, St. James Church won Best Float in the 74th annual Grape and Fall Festival Parade. The festival is a community tradition, and this is the first year the church has rallied together and had entered a float in the parade. It also won First Prize in the “church division.”

Hats off to Trinity for their teamwork and creativity.
