Prayers during upcoming elections in Sudan: Eucharist, Vigil

The Companion Diocese Relationship Committee is calling the diocese to prayer during the elections in Sudan this April.

Prayer Service and Eucharist, Vigil preparation

At 12:00 noon we’ll celebrate Eucharist on Saturday, April 10, at St. Timothy’s Church, Creve Coeur. We hope to have our friends and new mission partners from Blackmore Vale, Diocese of Salisbury, UK join us by Skype. (Skype is a free computer-to-computer video or audio chat software.) We’re also working on a simultaneous gathering at Lui Cathedral in Sudan.

Prayer Vigil

Lui, Sudan, is eight hours ahead of Missouri; a prayer vigil is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, through  4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, (Central Time).

Work of the Rev. Emily Bloemker receives award (2009)

The Board of Directors of the Evangelical Education Society of the Episcopal Church (EES) honored the outstanding work of of the Rev. Emily Bloemker by awarding her the Rev. Dr. E. F. Michael Morgan Director’s Award. Bloemker,  a 2009 graduate of the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, is associate rector at St. Timothy’s in Creve Coeur. (more…)

A Month of Guided Prayer Co-Hosted by St. Timothy’s-Creve Coeur and Holy Cross Lutheran Church (2008)

A long-standing practice in the Christian tradition is that of making a retreat. A retreat in the traditional sense is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life into a time and space of quiet, prayer and reflection. In the stillness of this time away, the hope is that we will be able to open ourselves to God’s presence and love in a special way. There are retreat centers of many different denominations across the country that offer individuals the chance to get away for a period of time. However, for many of us, making a week-long, weekend or even a one-day retreat is not an option because of our crowded schedules and numerous commitments. (more…)

St. Timothy’s, Creve Coeur Open All Day September 25th for prayer vigils in support of the MDGs

In support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church will be open all day on Thursday, September 25, 2008 for people of all faiths to hold private or group prayer vigils between 9:00 and noon. (The church will be open from 8 AM to 3 PM). Prayer materials will be provided, but you may also use your own. (more…)

ESM Announces 2008-09 academic year for Eucharistic Discipleship

The Episcopal School for Ministry announces the 2008-2009 academic year for Eucharistic Discipleship.

This program is for anyone who wishes to reflect on what it means to follow Jesus, to be a worshiper of God, and to carry God’s mission into the world. It is especially appropriate for any and all types of lay ministries, such as Eucharistic visitors, lay readers, altar guild members, choir members, teachers, and Community of Hope chaplains.
