The Garden of Eden
The Garden of Gethsemane
The Garden of the Resurrection
As we prepare to enter Holy Week, spend some time walking quietly through the sacred gardens of our creation, redemption, and salvation.
This quiet retreat time will provide opportunities for meditations, reflection, prayer, and silence in anticipation of the blessed time that lies ahead.
Meeting at St. Stephen’s Church in Ferguson,
- 9:00 continental breakfast
- 9:30 opening prayer and retreat
- 12:30 Eucharist
- Soup luncheon to follow Eucharist
- Suggested $5 contribution
- Sign-up by calling 314.753.7911 or email episcopalians@gmail.com
The Rev. Susan Skinner, an experience retreat leader, will lead the meditations and guide the day. Bring a Bible, paper, pencil and yourself, ready to rest in God.
This retreat is the first of a series of planned collaborations to offer resources, information and gatherings for spirituality.
This new Center for Spirituality plans a fall women’s retreat at New Harmony and a late spring day of reflection focusing on Work and Life as an extension of the Lenten series “Journey to Jobs,” this time as a way for any person of faith to refresh and renew their sense of the connection between job and vocation.
The Rev. Steve Lawler, St. Stephen’s rector, and visionary partner in this new Center writes, “The purpose of the Center is to share resources across our communities. We will have a web presence to share parish events that are open to public, list spiritual directors, recommendation for retreat centers and more.”
For more information about the Center or this first retreat, please email Fr. Lawler at episcopalians@gmail.com
