EYE 2011 (Episcopal Youth Event), call for youth leaders to help design next year’s program

The next Episcopal Youth Event will take place June 22-26, 2011. in St. Paul, Minnesota, on the campus of Bethel University.

A Mission Planning Team is forming to design the next EYE’s theme and events. If you are a young person who is a leader in your community, whether it be at church, in an Episcopal diocese, or at school; enjoys working on a team; and would like to be considered for the planning team,  please read through the criteria and application with your parents/guardians carefully before submitting your name for consideration.

To be considered for acceptance your completed application, including all required signatures and essay questions, must arrive in our office no later than, March 29, 2010 electronic applications must be followed by a mailed hard-copy. All applicants will be notified of their application’s status by April 6, 2010.  Those applicants invited to participate as members of the Mission Planning Team and their parent(s)/guardian(s) will need to accept or decline the invitation by April 9, 2010 .  The selection process is carefully timed, and we ask that you be fully prepared to honor these dates before submitting an application.

EYE’s Tentative agenda:

  • June 22 as youth arrive in Minnesota
  • Opening Eucharist will be first thing Thursday, June 23
  • conclude the official event on Saturday night, June 25.

Minnesota is gearing up to welcome you and provide opportunities for worship, mission, and cultural exchanges if you want to stay for an extra few days.

Our Provincial Youth Ministry Coordinator (PYMC) here in Province V is Gennie Callard, who is the Assistant to the Bishop for Children, Youth & Young Adult Ministries in the Diocese of Western Michigan.
