This program is designed especially for children ages 9 to 11 who may be staying home along for the first time or need to lean more skills for parents to be comfortable leaving them home alone. Topics include: handling the unexpected, stranger danger, simple first aid, dealing with lonliness and boredom, storm safety, trust and honesty.
Fees: Children Ages 9 to 11: $15.00, Employee Rate: $10

This program was developed for beginning baby-sitters, girls and boys, age 11 and older to help make their baby-sitting experience a success. The class will cover: basic information needed before you start baby-sitting, safety information, first-aid and child development. Each baby-sitter receives a participation certificate, baby-sitting handbook and bag. A light snack is provided. Classes taught by St. Luke’s health educators.
Fees: Children Ages 11 and older: $20.00, Employee Rate: $15.00
First Aid Basics

Children learn basic first-aid skills and how to recognize emergencies with hands-on activities. This class also meets requirement for Webelo Scouts and Junior Gils Scout first-aid badges. Scout leaders can schedule a class for their group.
