CANON III.7 The Operating Budget
SECTION 1. Diocesan Council shall prepare a budget for work undertaken
and proposed in the Diocese, for submission to and approval by Convention with any amendments it deems appropriate.
SEC. 2. Diocesan Council shall distribute a preliminary draft of the proposed
budget to the Convocations not less than 50 days prior to the opening
of the meeting of Convention at which the budget is to be adopted.
SEC. 3. Each Convocation shall review the preliminary budget and submit its comments to Diocesan Council at least 30 days prior to the opening of the meeting of Convention at which the budget is to be adopted.
SEC. 4. Diocesan Council shall review the comments made by the Convocations
concerning the preliminary budget and shall then submit a final proposed budget to Convention.
SEC. 5. Diocesan Council shall oversee implementation of the budget during the year and may make changes in the budget to accommodate any alterations in Diocesan program or revenue.
