Good afternoon: I hope to see you next week at one or both of these Two Solidarity Actions:
(1) Show up for workers with disabilities who are organizing with SEIU 1 at the Circuit Courts Building on Wednesday, August 24, at 12 noon at 11th & Market in downtown St. Louis. Please Sign and Share this petition!
(2) Participate in the 59th Annual Jefferson Bank Commemorative Protest, which is coming up on Friday, August 26, 2022, 4:00-5:00 pm at First Mid Bank & Trust (formerly Jefferson Bank & Trust) 2301 Market Street in Downtown St. Louis.
AND as we get ready to re-launch the St. Louis Faith Labor Alliance breakfasts this fall, please plan to help lead the Labor Day parade in downtown St. Louis on Monday, September 5, with the FLA banner! The parade starts at 9:00 am. Clergy, faith leaders and others who wish to march with the St. Louis Faith Labor Alliance should plan to arrive at Olive Street & 15th by 8:30 am. Faith leaders may park at the Christ Church Cathedral Parking lot at Locust Street and Olive Blvd. Let me know if you want to participate - [email protected], 314-503-7415.
As you may know, HB 1878 - a terrible voter suppression bill - is scheduled to go into effect in Missouri on August 28. Please see and share the attached fliers from MOVPC. If you and your organization want to get involved with MO Voter Protection Coalition at this critical time, please contact Denise Lieberman, Director & General Counsel of Missouri Voter Protection Coalition (and STL Workers Rights Board Steering Committee member) at (314) 780-1833 or [email protected] (She/Her).
Please plan to join us and spread the word about a Virtual Town Hall about the High Cost in Money and Lives of our current Healthcare System on Monday, September 12, at 6:00 pm.
Job Announcement: IFCLA is hiring for an Accompaniment Coordinator; applications are due by the end of August. Please see the job description for more information.
