Public Advocacy Resources
The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri does not endorse political candidates or parties. We do, however, support and promote advocacy for issues and public policy that are in line with our Baptismal Covenant.
The Rev. Dr. Teresa Mithen Danieley is our Missioner for Public Advocacy. She is involved with many local and state advocacy groups and keeps us informed of opportunities to learn and let our voices be heard on a variety of issues.
You will find public advocacy news and engagement opportunities for diocesan, local, and statewide issues below. The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations has a variety of resources for national engagement.
The Episcopal Church adopts policies on a range of public policy matters related to justice and peace through General Convention, the governing body of the Church and the Church’s highest temporal authority.
