Rite 13 Dinner Celebration
Saturday, May 4, 2024, 5:00 PM
Students participating in the diocesan Rite 13 program and special guests are invited to come together for a special dinner to celebrate the completion of their program.
The students in the program are from Holy Communion in University City, St. Mark's in St. Louis, Trinity in St. Charles, and Church of the Advent in Crestwood. The dinner will be held at Holy Communion on Saturday, May 4.
Rite 13 is a formation program for students between 11- and 13-years old. It is the first part of the Journey to Adulthood program, which is centered on inclusive, relational ministry and uses Bible study, prayer, rites of passage, and outreach ministries. Creative, developmentally appropriate lessons are arranged within three categories of self, society, and spirituality.
The Diocese is grateful to the Church of the Holy Communion which has hosted this program and taken the majority of the mentoring duties. Each of the participating churches will also be including special liturgies in upcoming Sunday services to pray for the young people and their achievement.
The May 4 dinner is for students and special guests only. The Sunday services in the individual congregations are open to all!
